NDVI Technology
Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is the reflective properties of vegetation. It quantifies the difference between near-infrared (NIR) and visible red light reflected by plants. Healthy crops appear yellow and green in the images.
From Diseases like
- NDVI = (NIR-Red) / (NIR+Red).
- The range is from -1 to 1. -The higher the number, the healthier the crop.
- The ideal NDVI number is 1, which is not attainable – complete green forest.
- This Grapes field was sprayed with Electrolyzed Water (EW) on 05/13/24 1 time at application rate of 30 GPA.
- The highest NDVI # in this Grape Filed
Date | Max NDVI # |
---|---|
15/05/2024 | .37 |
20/05/2024 | .41 |
25/05/2024 | .42 |
30/05/2024 | .438 |
05/06/2024 | .656 |
- Higher NDVI numbers are better, which are seen in yellow and green.
- Lower numbers are seen in grey, blue, and red.
- In the slider chart, the minimum to maximum per color palette is displayed with acreage.
- Look at the Histograms on top & will see shift of all colors to the right as the field matures and grows.
- Green colors on Histogram are the best biomass. Grey, Blue have the least vegetation.
